Ugly

A lot of ugly games in Week 1.

Kent State - Alabama?!?!  Alabama ought to be ashamed if they throw a single pass.  They could run off tackle for 70 straight plays and still win by 63.

Youngstown State - Michigan State.  Spartans were the worst 11 - 2 team in history last season, as the raping they received from Alabama proved.  Now they will crush another flea, and Dantonio will continue to believe he is on the way to inheriting Tressel's throne.  This is still just a 7 or 8 win team dressed up in a 10 or 11 win team's uniform because of weak schedule and weak conference.

Missouri State - Arkansas. . .Chattanooga - Nebraska. . .Louisiana-Lafayette - Oklahoma State. . .Louisiana-Monroe - Florida State. . .Tennessee Tech - Iowa. . .and a dozen others. . .all garbage. . .set-up games for the big name schools. . .like the string of bums lined up for Gerry Cooney.

Anyway, there are only a couple of good games this week:

Oregon - LSU. . .I don't see how ol' Les can pull this one out.  Too many distractions even for the Master of Chaos.

Boise State - Georgia. . .even though Boise is ranked #5, I have to believe most folks in Georgia would be angry and ashamed if the Dawgs lost to some fancypants team from fucking Idaho.  Am I right, Anderson?  What's the mood down there? Any way at all Georgia can lose, and Richt save face?

  1. I'm looking forward to Boise State vs. UGA. It may cement Richt's exit. Losing season last year, 3-5 vs. SEC opponents, a weirdo attitude towards penalties ("we didn't worry about penalties at FSU", ha ha!)

The over/under for Georgia is 8 wins this year. They are not favored in the Boise game.

I'm tempted to make a bet on UGA against Boise because the odds are -160 BS and +140 for UGA. It's a high value pick. They are playing in Athens.

But short of a bet, I'll be rooting for BS because UGA needs to get rid of Richt.

  2. That is to say if UGA loses to BS, Georgia fans will be livid and GATECH fans will be laughing. Fights will break out.

Richt can recruit but has a strange coaching style. I liked him better stoic. His new crap where he pulls gimmics like the "blackout" uniforms. . . . ugh.

  3. I see Georgia will be busting out their new running back, Crowell, the big recruit. . .is he gonna be this year's Marcus Lattimore??

  4. Crowell has the physical talents but, honestly, he's going to be poisoned by another physically talented Dawg in Caleb King. King should have been great but has been a huge bust mostly due to stoopid decisions regarding the law and acting like a student-athlete.

UGA should get rid of King to not hurt Crowell's chances.

Crowell has a good size for a freshman and good enough for even SEC football. The big problem, as is the case with a lot of the kids in college ball, will be discipline. It's a lot of freedom and a lot of attention and a lot of free booze and a lot of loose women.

And Richt hasn't got control of this team. Crowell may be a bust this year and may only be good or great if Richt is gone.

  5. Kent State had a better chance against the National Guard. . . .
