NFL Week 2

Not many interesting games this week. . .

Chicago +7 at New Orleans.  Chicago rolled Atlanta last week. . .but I refuse to believe Rod Marinelli is a good defensive coordinator.  New Orleans.

Kansas City +8 1/2 at Detroit.  Man, I can't remember the last time the Lions were this big of a favorite.  Kansas City is a division champ, and they opened at home against a 4 win team, Buffalo, and got their ass beat something terrible.  The Lions still have a little of the Marinelli Lions in them, though.  Even though they beat Tampa last week, a few of the old Marinelli Lions fuck-ups cropped up, enough to keep Tampa in the game, even though the Lions whipped them convincingly on both lines.  I want to see how the Lions handle Jamaal Charles' speed.  They handled the plowhorse Blount with no problems last week, but Charles is a whole other breed.  And don't forget McCluster, too.  And I hate to take any bet giving 8 1/2. . .but. . .Detroit.

San Diego +6 at New England.  Brady throws for 500 against Miami.  But Henne tossed for 400 against the Pats.  Rivers should be able to match Brady yard-for-yard.  Six is a nice cushion for the Chargers.  San Diego.

Philadelphia at Atlanta +2 1/2.  Vick returns to Atlanta.  This ought to be something to see.  I think he puts on a show, and Matty Ice looks like yesterday's leftovers in comparison.  Philadelphia.

  1. I don't want to agree with you on the Philly/ATL game, but you're more than correct.

This is a game that Vick wants very badly and it's at the top of the season. His ass hasn't been hit that many times yet. . . . he's still fresh.

But this is a game for an asshole like Vick who probably feels "snubbed" by the Birds because he lied to everyone, caused an assload of problems, and a pile of cash. . . . but he's got a chip on his shoulder over Atlanta in his heart. Believe you me, that is true.

He'll beg that heart-attack-in-waiting, and shit coach yesterday, today, and tomorrow Reid to let him cut-loose.

Vick will run for over 150 and pass for 300 and pile it on.

No way he'll let Atlanta move on, especially to some little white boy who looks like something Vick raped in prison.
