I'm ready to believe the Tigers won't fold this time. . .the division title is in the bag.
That means Dombrowski should get Executive of the Year, because he landed Young and Fister, enough of a boost that not even the King Choker, Leyland, can blow this fucking season. Dombrowski tried to save Leyland a couple years ago with Jarri Washburn and Audrey Huff, but they were about as useful as a bra on a double mastectomy survivor.
Verlander, Scherzer and Fister give the Tigers a fair shot in the playoffs. . .as long as the opponents don't bunt.
